Imidacloprid is a novel high-efficiency systemic insecticide belonging to the neonicotinoid compound category. It exhibits outstanding efficacy against piercing-sucking mouthpart pests (such as aphids, whiteflies, planthoppers, leafhoppers, etc.). Its mechanism of action is to interfere with nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the pest nervous system, leading to paralysis and death. The efficacy is long-lasting and not easily washed off by rain.
