Product Introduction

Product Description

Oxyfluorfen is a highly effective diphenyl ether herbicide with selective, contact action. It can be applied as a pre-emergence soil treatment or post-emergence to young weed seedlings. It effectively controls a wide range of annual broadleaf weeds and some grassy weeds, making it suitable for cotton, peanuts, soybeans, onions, garlic, orchards, and non-cultivated land.

Oxyfluorfen is valued worldwide for its fast action, long residual effect, and low resistance risk, making it a reliable choice for modern weed management.

Mode of Action

Oxyfluorfen is a PPO inhibitor (Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase inhibitor):

  • Inhibits PPO enzyme activity in plants

  • Causes accumulation of protoporphyrin IX in cells

  • Generates reactive oxygen species under light exposure

  • Destroys cell membranes, leading to rapid weed death

👉 Symptoms usually appear within 1–3 days after application, quickly halting weed growth.

Product Advantages

✔ Fast Acting – Visible weed control within days

✔ Long-lasting – Provides residual soil activity to suppress new weed emergence

✔ Broad-spectrum – Effective against many broadleaf weeds and some grasses

✔ Low Resistance Risk – Different mode of action than ALS or ACCase herbicides, suitable for rotation

✔ Versatile Use – Applicable to field crops, cash crops, orchards, and non-cultivated areas

Precautions

  • ⚠ Best used as pre-emergence or early post-emergence; not effective on mature weeds alone

  • ⚠ Avoid spray drift to sensitive crops

  • ⚠ Works best under light conditions

  • ⚠ Adjust dosage for sandy soils or soils with low organic matter

  • ⚠ Follow registered crops and recommended dosage
