Product Introduction

Product Overview

Imazapyr is a high-efficiency, broad-spectrum, systemic herbicide belonging to the imidazolinone chemical family. It inhibits the activity of acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS or ALS) in plants, blocking the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, thereby suppressing weed growth and eventually causing plant death. The product features fast action, long residual effect, low application rate, and excellent environmental stability, making it widely used for weed control in non-crop areas, forestry, industrial zones, roadsides, irrigation channels, and pastures.

Mode of Action

  • Inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in nematodes

  • Disrupts normal nerve signal transmission

  • Causes paralysis and death of nematodes

  • Acts through contact and limited systemic movement in soil

  • Provides sustained protection in the root zone

Product Advantages

Strong efficacy against root-knot nematodes

Long residual activity in soil

Effective at low application rates

Protects roots during critical early growth stages

Improves root health and nutrient uptake

Suitable for intensive vegetable and greenhouse production
