Fludioxonil Introduction

Fludioxonil is a broad-spectrum pyrrole fungicide widely used in modern agriculture for its excellent protective properties. It works primarily by disrupting the osmotic signal transduction system of fungi, causing abnormal water uptake, cell rupture, and ultimately fungal death. Unlike systemic fungicides, Fludioxonil acts mainly through contact activity, making it highly effective in preventing spore germination and inhibiting mycelial growth.

Mode of Action

Fludioxonil is a pyrrole contact fungicide that disrupts the osmoregulation mechanism of fungi, causing cell membrane rupture and death. It mainly provides protective action and shows strong inhibition against spore germination and mycelial growth.

Product Applications

• Widely used for seed treatment (wheat, barley, corn, soybean, vegetables, etc.) to control soil-borne diseases

• Applied on fruit trees and vegetables to control Botrytis, leaf spot, and root rot

• Often used in mixtures with metalaxyl, azoxystrobin and other fungicides to achieve broad-spectrum control

Product Precautions

• Best applied preventively, before or at the early stage of infection

• Avoid continuous and repeated single use to reduce resistance risk

• Keep away from water sources; toxic to aquatic organisms
